I have some TV watching planned this weekend

Learning to garden, and garden successfully, isn’t an easy feat.  Ok, for some it may be, but not me, that’s for sure.

So I’m quite excited about a new programme starting up on Prime TV on Sunday at 7pm.  It’s hosted by Lynda Hallinan – editor of the NZ Gardener magazine.  Each week she will be leading a family new to gardening through the paces of creating a garden and growing their own food.

The programme is called Get Growing with NZ Gardener and I’m really looking forward to it.  I have so much to learn and think this might be a fun way to do it.

My 2010 Calendar

It's called: Pretending to be a Normal Person Day after Day is Exhausting! A calendar that celebrates the Wonderful Wacky Woman you Truly are.

I LOVE IT!

Each month has a saying and a bit of blurb.

January is:

This above all: to thine ownself be true.

William Shakespeare wrote, "This above all: to thine ownself be true." Boy, did he nail it on the head!

A lot of us go through phases were we think we have to be, act, and look like everyone else in order to fit in.
I tried it, and it didn't work. Now I realise God doesn't want an orchestra of identical instruments all playing the same tune, so I let go of the status quo and decided to just be me.
Besides, pretending to be a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I think I'm going to "let go of the status quo" as well. I'm ME. Not you or her. I'm me. And I think I'm the best person for me to be.

I'm looking forward to checking out each month, and just being me.

Let's learn to grow vegies

Learning to garden, and garden successfully, isn’t an easy feat.  Ok, for the greenfingered ones amongst us,  it may be, but not me, that’s for sure.

So I’m quite excited about a new programme coming up on TV very soon.  It’s hosted by Lynda Hallinan – editor of the NZ Gardener magazine.  Each week she will be taking a family that is new to gardening through the highs and lows of growing their own food.

The programme is called Get Growing with NZ Gardener and I’m really looking forward to it.  I have so much to learn and think this might be a fun way to do it, so I'll be sitting back, probably recording it as well, with pen and paper in hand ready to improve my gardening skills.  I'm sure my garden will love me for it.

It's looking better . . .

but it's still not quite right!!
